The CMA is proposing to refer Taboola’s purchase of Outbrain for a detailed phase 2 merger investigation, unless the parties offer suitable remedies. The CMA considers that the merger raises competition concerns in the supply of content recommendation, a type of digital advertising. Click here.

  • The European Commission has published a public consultation on its Market Definition Notice. The responses will contribute to the Commission's evaluation of the Notice to assess whether it requires updating. Click here.

  • The CMA has referred the completed acquisition by PUG LLC (viagogo) of the StubHub business of eBay Inc. for an in depth phase 2 merger investigation. Click here.
  • The CMA is proposing to refer the proposed purchase by Stryker Corporation of Wright Medical Group N.V., unless the parties offer suitable undertakings in lieu of a reference. The CMA is concerned that the merger could lead to a reduction of competition in the supply of total ankle replacement prosthetics. Click here.
