CMA proposing to clear SSE/Npower merger
The CMA has provisionally found that the proposed merger between SSE Retail and Npower does not raise competition concerns following an in depth phase 2 review. The CMA investigated initial concerns about the potential impact of the merger on standard variable tariffs, but has provisionally concluded that SSE and Npower do not compete closely on these prices. CMA proposing to refer petrol station merger
The CMA is proposing to refer Motor Fuel Group’s acquisition of MRH for an in-depth phase 2 merger investigation, unless the parties offer suitable undertakings in lieu of a reference. Click here.
- The European Commission has approved Hutchison's acquisition of sole control of Wind Tre, currently controlled by Hutchison and VEON. The approval is conditional on Hutchison continuing to fulfil the conditions of the Commission's 2016 decision clearing the creation of Wind Tre. Click here.
