European Commission issues proposal to make national competition authorities more effective
The European Commission has proposed new rules, aimed at enabling Member States' competition authorities to be more effective enforcers, by seeking to ensure that they have the appropriate enforcement tools. Click here.
- The European Commission has approved the proposed merger between US-based chemical companies Dow and DuPont. The approval is conditional in particular on the divestiture of parts of DuPont's global pesticide business, including its global R&D organisation. Click here.
