Property Week quotes Claire Fallows on the watering down of housing targets

Housing secretary Michael Gove is set to water down the government’s 300,000 new homes per year target following a Tory rebellion.

The industry has criticised the decision to water down the targets, with many saying targets need to be set to ensure supply meets demand.

“Does the government really care about the housing crisis? There is no doubt that the move will lead to fewer new homes being planned and built in many areas.”
