Pharmacy Law Conference
The community pharmacy sector continues to face an unprecedented number of challenges, but also opportunities.
Join us at our 11th Annual Pharmacy Law Conference where our team of experts will discuss the latest developments affecting the sector and explore what’s coming up in 2020.
At the conference, we will cover the following topics:
NHS England investigations
Most pharmacists will be familiar with the role of the GPhC in regulating them and their businesses. But did you realise that NHS England has the power to close your pharmacy down? We’ll look at some recent real-life scenarios that we have dealt with and how to get the best outcome when NHS England comes knocking.
Data protection and community pharmacy
Data protection issues continue to make headlines, with a community pharmacy recently fined £275,000 by the Information Commissioner for data breaches. We’ll give you some tips for protecting your sensitive data – and your business.
Providing private services
As NHS income is squeezed, more and more pharmacies are looking to offer private services. How many pharmacies
consider the legal issues which are unique to this business model, though? We’ll explore topics such as terms and conditions with patients, liability for injury, engaging other healthcare providers to offer services and how to rent out space within your pharmacy.
Regulatory and market entry update
As well as exploring recent and upcoming regulatory change, we will look at the legal issues arising out of the new pharmacy contract including the Community Pharmacy Consultation Service.
There will also be plenty of time to quiz our expert panel of specialist pharmacy lawyers and to network with pharmacists and others working in the community pharmacy sector.
Places are subject to availability and will be confirmed as soon as possible.
