Following our successful inaugural Surveyors' Webinar on the key legal issues and challenges facing commercial landlords and tenants in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are hosting our next Surveyors' Webinar on 29 April.
Four of our property experts will address the key legal issues and challenges facing residential and mixed use property owners occupiers and investors in these extraordinary circumstances.
The webinar will focus on some of the key legal issues and changes which have arisen as a result of the pandemic, and will address the practical issues which landlords, tenants, investors and surveyors need to address in light of these changes.
We will be exploring:
- How the landlords right to forfeit residential leases has been restricted and whether this means a tenant can stop paying its rent and service charge altogether and what other steps the landlord can take;
- Tips and traps in negotiating any lease changes;
- Whether residential and commercial property transactions can still complete, tips on how the restrictions caused by the lockdown can be overcome, and how to address unforeseeable delay caused by the Coronavirus.
As always the session will be interactive so that you can share your views and experiences with us and raise questions.
Date / Time: Wednesday 29 April 2020, 13:00-14:00
