Building Up - the construction challenges and opportunities
Join us for our latest event in our “Building Up” series, focusing this time on the construction challenges and opportunities of tall buildings in dense urban environments like London.
London has seen a very substantial increase in tall buildings in recent years, with the latest 22 Bishopsgate now nearing completion. But how will we all be “Building Up” in the future as technology develops, and new materials and construction methods become available? History tells us we will build higher, but will we also build faster, and how will architecture change in the light of new ropeless lift technologies?
Charles Russell Speechlys are bringing together a panel of experts from across the construction industry to discuss the challenges of building tall in the capital, and specifically how innovation in the use of data, site logistics, materials technology and new construction methodologies are helping to meet some of those challenges.
Please join us to hear from our panel of expert speakers, including:
- Matt Gough, Director of Innovation, Mace
- Steve Toon, Design Director at AKT II
The event will be chaired by David Savage, Construction and Infrastructure sector lead.
Following our panel discussion and audience Q&A, there will be a networking drinks and canapés.
We hope you can join us for this stimulating panel-led discussion.
