Charles Russell Speechlys recognised in Spear’s Legal Indices 2026
min readCharles Russell Speechlys has been recognised in five categories of the Spear’s 2026 Legal Indices, including two categories in the latest instalment. These rankings spotlight our expertise in advising (ultra) high-net worth individuals, family offices, and owner-led businesses on a variety of legal matters.
In the latest instalment of Spear’s 2026 Legal Indices, published this week, Marcus Yorke-Long, Head of our Private Office is recognised as Top Recommended in the Hommes & Femmes d’Affaires Index.
Andrew Collins, Partner in our Corporate team, is also ranked as Top Recommended in the Corporate Lawyers Index, recognising his work advising clients including family offices and wealthy individuals on corporate governance and succession matters.
The work of our Private Office led by Marcus Yorke-Long was featured as a leading example of how firms are reshaping operational and commercial models to best support wealthy clients. As described in Spear’s Legal Index, Hommes & Femmes d’Affaires:
Functioning as a strategic advisory layer staffed by non-lawyer experts in banking and real estate, the [Private Office] acts as a central conduit for family offices and entrepreneurs. Crucially, the firm charges nothing for the private office team’s time generating revenue strictly from the specialist legal execution that follows.
Previous instalments of the Spear’s 2026 Legal Indices have showcased the work of several teams in our Firm:
- Family Lawyers Index: Miranda Fisher (Top Flight), Sarah Jane Boon, William Longrigg, and Jamie Kennaugh (Top Recommended), Shona Alexander, Sarah Higgins, and Sarah Anticoni (Recommended).
- Property Lawyers Index: William Marriott (Top Recommended), and Thomas Moran (Recommended).
- Immigration Lawyers Index: Kelvin Tanner (Recommended).
The Spear’s Indices are produced and compiled each year in conjunction with the Spear’s 500 Directory, which draws on qualitative and quantitative research to rank leading global advisors in the private client, wealth management, and legal sectors. Advisers are evaluated using a proprietary scoring system that assigns different weightings to certain attributes. These scores feed directly into each new set of rankings in the Spear’s Indices.

Well done to all those included for this recognition of their hard work and dedication to excellent client service.
