min readCharles Russell Speechlys has advised long-standing client BioMed Realty, the leading provider of real estate solutions to the life sciences, technology and innovation community, on the letting of 12,200 sq ft of office space at One Granta, Granta Park, to global video game developer Jagex, creator and publisher of the internationally successful RuneScape franchise.
The move sees Jagex relocate its headquarters to Granta Park, one of the UK's premier innovation campuses and home to more than 30 leading life sciences, technology and research organisations. The letting underlines the appeal of Granta Park not only to life sciences occupiers but to a wider range of high-growth, innovative businesses seeking high-quality office and laboratory accommodation in Cambridge.
Charles Russell Speechlys has advised BioMed Realty for more than a decade across its UK portfolio, including the acquisition and ongoing development of Granta Park, numerous lettings to life sciences occupiers, and major development projects at Babraham Research Campus.
Most recently, the Firm advised BioMed Realty on new lettings at Building 960, Babraham Research Campus, and on further occupier transactions across its Cambridge assets. This latest instruction reflects the breadth and continuity of that relationship, and the Firm's deep familiarity with BioMed Realty's estate and strategic objectives.
