min read

Charles Russell Speechlys today announces the appointment of Frédéric Ney as a Tax Partner in Geneva, Switzerland.

Frédéric joins the Firm from Bär & Karrer in Geneva, where he was a senior associate since 2023. Frédéric is a tax specialist whose practice covers national and cross-border tax and succession planning for Swiss and foreign clients. He advises UHNW families on cross-border planning and brings corporate tax experience across reorganisations and M&A, financing structures and incentive plans. He is admitted in Switzerland and New York, and is certified as a Swiss Tax Expert. He works in English, French, German and Spanish.

Michael Lingens, Regional Lead for Continental Europe, commented:

Frédéric’s skillset and market connections make him the right strategic fit for our Firm and our long-term growth plans across Switzerland and wider Europe. His appointment strengthens our client-centric expansion for global families and cross border matters, and reflects our shift to attracting experienced lawyers from leading firms.

Michael Wells-Greco, Head of the Swiss offices, added:

Across Switzerland, we now have a specialist private client and tax team of 10. Frédéric’s arrival strengthens our Swiss tax capability to provide transactional tax, tax advisory and tax controversy services to our national and international clients. We’re delighted to welcome him into our Firm.

Frédéric Ney said:

I’m delighted to be joining Charles Russell Speechlys and to help strengthen the Firm’s Swiss and cross-border tax offering to continue to support clients across borders with clarity, expertise and forward‑thinking solutions.

His appointment follows the recent arrival of Partner Luca Beffa into the Firm’s Arbitration team in Geneva in January, reflecting the Firm’s continued investment in Switzerland and wider European offices.
