Charles Russell Speechlys wins International Legal Team of the Year at the STEP Private Client Awards 2025

Charles Russell Speechlys is proud to announce that it has won the award for International Legal Team of the Year (large firm) at the STEP Private Client Awards 2025, held on 18 September 2025 at the London Hilton, Park Lane.

This accolade follows significant international expansion for the Firm, highlighted by the recent inauguration of its new Milan office in November 2024, the growth of its International Private Client offering in Asia and Switzerland, and several lateral partner hires for the London International Private Client team over the past 12-18 months.

STEP is the global association for practitioners who specialise in trusts, inheritance, and estate planning. This year’s awards are particularly significant as they commemorate the 20th anniversary of the ceremony, often regarded as the “Oscars of the private client industry”. After a rigorous and independent judging process lasting six months and comprising multiple phases, Charles Russell Speechlys is delighted to have triumphed over strong competition to win the International Legal Team of the Year (large firm) category.

Piers Master, Co-Divisional Managing Partner for the Private Client Division, comments:

We are honoured to receive this award, which is a testament to the team's hard work and commitment to excellence. We are grateful to STEP for recognising us for leading and delivering premium advisory and transactional Private Client services across our international office network to global owners of private capital.

Nicola Thorpe, Head of Group, International Private Client, adds:

Winning this category is a remarkable achievement that highlights our team's ability to adapt and excel in the ever-evolving global landscape of private client services. Our recent international expansion underscores our commitment to delivering tailored solutions that meet the diverse needs of our clients. We are excited to continue building on this success and driving innovation in the industry.
