min read

Charles Russell Speechlys today announces the appointment of Gustina Singgih to the Firm’s corporate team, based in London.

Gustina previously served as Deputy General Counsel at Babcock International Group, the global aerospace, defence and engineering services company, where she led the legal function for the Group’s Land and Aviation divisions. Gustina brings with her a wealth of experience in M&A and joint venture work, as well as a background in advising on complex financing transactions and projects across various sectors.

Gustina’s previous roles include Head of Legal at SME Capital – a financial institution providing funding for SMEs – Counsel at Aztec Group – a provider of fund, corporate and investor services – and Associate at White & Case LLC in the Energy, Infrastructure, Project and Asset Finance team. She has extensive experience in corporate and commercial transactions, particularly in sectors such as aerospace, defence, security, engineering and financial services.

Gustina brings with her a strong contact book of international connections which she has developed during her career to date, and her appointment will further elevate the Firm’s international transactions service offering across many of the world’s key centres of wealth.

David Collins, Partnerwho is responsible for the Firms Business Advisory & Transaction Services Division, which includes the Corporate, Commercial, Banking and Finance, Corporate Tax and Incentives, Financial Services and Funds, Employment and Immigration teams, comments:

Gustina has a very impressive track record, both in private practice and in-house, and is very well connected within industries and jurisdictions which are strategically very important for us. She brings substantial experience advising on corporate and commercial transactions, and her sector expertise aligns well with our strategic ambitions, particularly internationally.

Gustina Singgih comments: “It’s fantastic to be joining a firm that is proactive, growing and has a clear international strategy. As well as its reputation in the UK, the Firm has a strong international footprint in fast-growing jurisdictions – for example Southeast Asia, Europe and the Middle East. I am looking forward to working with colleagues, clients and intermediaries in all of these regions and exploring opportunities for existing clients and my own contacts.”

Gustina’s arrival closely follows that of Corporate Partners Francis Li and Wendy Fong, who joined the Hong Kong office on 1 September. These strategic hires underscore the Firm’s broader ambitions for international growth across its transactional and business advisory teams.
