Charles Russell Speechlys named among ALB Asia’s Fastest 30 Growing Firms in 2024

Charles Russell Speechlys is pleased to announce its recognition within the 2024 Asian Legal Business (ALB) Asia Fastest Growing Firms list. The ALB Fast 30 list, now in its fourth year, recognises 30 firms that have significantly contributed to shaping the legal industry’s future in Asia.

Selection for the ALB Fast 30 is based on remarkable growth in the past 12 months, demonstrating excellence through expanded teams, new offices, significant client acquisitions, and innovative approaches to the dynamic legal landscape.

In addition to the firmwide recognition, Ian Yeung, Senior Associate, has been recognised by Asian Legal Business (ALB) as one of ALB Hong Kong Rising Stars 2024.

The ALB Hong Kong Rising Stars list highlights Hong Kong’s next generation of standout lawyers under the age of 40 who demonstrate exceptional potential in the industry while earning strong praise from their clients. The list was selected based on criteria such as important deals or cases, key clients, and significant accolades received in the form of public recognition and awards.

Charles Russell Speechlys opened its Singapore office in July 2023 and reported a 30% revenue growth in Asia in its latest set of financial results. During this period, the Firm made a series of lateral hires and promotions to grow its capability in Asia and strengthen its private capital offering. In total, the Firm has welcomed 16 new lawyers, including 6 partners, across the following practice areas: Corporate and Commercial, Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Family, Real Estate and International Private Client.

Simon Green, Partner and Head of Asia, says:

Since the commencement of operations in Hong Kong in 2017 and the subsequent opening of our Singapore office in 2023, we have significantly enhanced our capability in Asia and have achieved unprecedented growth.

"Asia is a key region for us and I am confident we will continue to grow as well as build out our offering to support our ambition to become a leading international law firm with a focus on private capital. I am proud of what we have been able to achieve over the last few years and it is an honour to have been recognised in ALB Asia’s Fastest Growing Firms list.
