Charles Russell Speechlys advises EMMA Systems on strategic reorganisation and investment

Charles Russell Speechlys is delighted to advise EMMA Systems, a leading innovator in aviation technology, on a comprehensive strategic reorganisation, including the establishment of a new holding company in the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC).

EMMA Systems is a SaaS-based, AI-driven platform that provides airports, airlines, and aviation stakeholders with a unique, real-time and AI enabled view on operations and performance, enabling rapid gains in efficiency and sustainability through enhanced visibility and predictability.

As part of this reorganisation, EMMA Systems has secured a substantial investment from Al Khor Holding, a prominent Qatari asset management and investment firm with a diverse portfolio in both private and public equity across various sectors and industries. This strategic partnership is expected to bolster EMMA Systems' overarching strategy to strengthen its global presence and streamline operations.

Our Middle East team has played a pivotal role in advising on the transition of EMMA Systems' investment structure to the QFC, as well as providing the necessary support to facilitate a smooth transaction with Al Khor Holding.

Alex Reid, the lead Corporate Partner on the deal for the Middle East, comments:

We are thrilled to have supported such an innovative company as EMMA Systems through this transformative phase of strategic reorganisation in the Middle East. The collaboration with Al Khor Holding marks a milestone for EMMA Systems, positioning it for robust growth in the international arena. This complex transaction underscores the significant capabilities of our regional corporate team to successfully navigate cross-border transactions within our extensive regional network.

Wisam Costandi, CEO and co-founder of Emma Systems, adds:

We have been very happy with the collaboration with Charles Russell Speechlys, who understood our challenges, our strategic long term vision, and our overall needs as part of the reorganisation. The Charles Russell Speechlys team showed great commitment to help us close the necessary agreements in the agreed timeframe and support us with providing the needed legal framework.

The team was led by Corporate Partner Alex Reid and supported by Associate Mo Nawash.
