Volunteers’ Week 2024: Celebrating Our People

This year to mark Volunteers’ Week 2024 we are shining a light on some of our amazing volunteers that have given their time and skills to support charities, social enterprises, and individuals through our social impact programme.

Taking part in these initiatives has provided our people with opportunities for personal growth, skill development and a chance to make a positive contribution to society. We have particularly focused on strengthening our Charles Russell Speechlys Foundation charity partnerships and supporting young people through our social mobility outreach programme, Career Start.

Thank you to all our volunteers that have been involved over the past year. We recognise your hard work and commitment and would like to take the opportunity to celebrate you.

Our volunteers

The team has been fantastic to collaborate with, and I was more than happy to contribute my expertise. I knew that outsourcing this work would be costly for them, so it felt great to provide support that made a real difference.”

Lucy Johnston, Senior Designer, Business Development and Marketing, London

Taking part in volunteering opportunities puts the biggest smile on my face every time. I have always left a volunteering experience with a new perspective and a different outlook.”

Hana Bibi, Associate, Immigration, London

This was an extremely rewarding experience for me… I was keen to get involved in a programme designed to encourage students to follow their own path into law and to help prepare them for that journey.”

Ben Moore, Senior Associate, Commercial Dispute Resolution, Cheltenham

I always feel like it’s a good day when I come out of the meeting knowing we can help make someone’s life a little bit better.”

Hayley Pateman, Senior Reception and Facilities Assistant, Internal Client Services, Guildford

You definitely feel that you are making a real difference to people’s lives and are able to help some of the most vulnerable people.”

Rose Carey, Partner, Immigration, London
