Charles Russell Speechlys advises Derwent London on £158m building contract with Laing O’Rourke

Charles Russell Speechlys’ construction team has advised Derwent London on its £158m building contract with Laing O’Rourke for the development of 19-35 Baker Street.  

The 298,000 sq ft. development will comprise offices, retail units and includes 45,000 sq ft. of residential units on 100 George Street and represents one of the biggest building contracts Derwent London has placed to date.

The Charles Russell Speechlys’ team provided specialist advice on the building contract and ancillary documents, having previously advised on the demolition and enabling works contract and suite of professional team appointments.

Construction partner Fiona Edmond commented: “We are absolutely thrilled to have supported Derwent London on the building contract for this project, an exciting mixed-use development in the heart of Marylebone”.
