Charles Russell Speechlys welcomes Madalina-Andreea Dumitrescu as new Disputes Partner

Charles Russell Speechlys today announces the appointment of Madalina-Andreea Dumitrescu as a commercial dispute resolution partner in London, strengthening the firm’s litigation and international arbitration capabilities.

Madalina joins from Mishcon de Reya and is a dual-qualified English solicitor and Romanian lawyer. She is an experienced advisor on a wide range of contentious and commercial issues for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families with global business interests and investments, over a broad range of services including international disputes, estate planning, wealth management, financial structures, and reputation management issues.

Madalina has a strong international arbitration and litigation practice, specialising in complex commercial dispute resolution, civil fraud, energy and natural resources, construction and sale of goods. She also acts as a trusted advisor for clients leading tailor-made teams of highly specialised lawyers advising on broad range of challenges and opportunities in the private capital space.

Simon Ridpath, Managing Partner, Charles Russell Speechlys, said:

"We are delighted that Madalina has chosen to join the Firm at such an exciting time in our international growth trajectory. She will provide excellent collaboration opportunities across the firm, thanks to her extensive network of ultra-high-net-worth individuals and their intermediaries, and through her wealth of experience servicing the needs of their diverse commercial and corporate, investment and real estate portfolios.

"Her arrival will also strengthen relationships with all of the Firm’s international offices, with many of her clients originating from the firm’s key areas of market focus, including the Far East, Middle East and Continental Europe."

Madalina-Andreea Dumitrescu said:

"Charles Russell Speechlys is renowned internationally for its high-quality service of the interests of private clients, and I am thrilled to be joining the Firm. I am very much looking forward to expanding the UK offices’ family office and private capital offering across its international client base, particularly in South-East Asia, China, Europe, Switzerland and the USA."

The arrival of Madalina follows the recent appointment of corporate transactional heavyweight David Collins, Robert Reymond and his international tax team in the UK, and the recruitment of a new Private Wealth and Commercial Real Estate team, led by Silvia On and Ian Devereux in Hong Kong.
