Charles Russell Speechlys' Corporate team shortlisted for the 2021 South East Dealmakers Awards

Charles Russell Speechlys has received four nominations for the Insider South East Dealmakers Awards 2021. The firm has been shortlisted for Corporate Law Firm of the Year, with partner Rebecca Burford once again being shortlisted for Corporate Lawyer of the Year, alongside associates Samuel Milne and Nizmeara Khatun who have each been shortlisted for Emerging Dealmaker of the Year.

The awards celebrate the region’s corporate finance transactions across the legal, accountancy, banking and finance communities, with winners to be announced at a ceremony at the Copthorne Hotel, Effingham Park in June 2021.

The nominations follow a period of robust deal activity for the Charles Russell Speechlys’ corporate team, which has advised on a number of notable deals in the South East over the last year.

The firm’s Guildford based corporate team is led by healthcare M&A specialist Tim Jenkins and is Tier 1 ranked by legal directory Chambers and Partners for M&A transactions up to £50m.

Rebecca was ranked as an “Up and Coming” partner in Chambers and Partners 2019 and also named in the Lawyer’s Hot 100 List for 2020. Nizmeara provides specialist corporate advice to long standing corporate healthcare clients of the firm, with a particular focus on dental, veterinary and pharmacy M&A. Samuel regularly advises clients in the regulated healthcare sector (pharmacy, veterinary and care homes). He works increasingly on technical corporate restructuring matters.
