Charles Russell Speechlys advises on sale of dental practice Feltham Dental

Charles Russell Speechlys has advised owner Dr. Rai Desaur on the sale of dental practice Feltham Dental. Established in 1982, the business is an integral part of the community and has many generations of loyal patients.

Dr Rai Desaur made the decision to sell in order to pursue other interests within the industry, including providing mentoring and training courses to young dentists considering semi-retirement. The business has been purchased by an independent dentist.

Dr Desaur said: "It was very hard to decide to sell, especially in the middle of a worldwide pandemic and I will certainly miss my very capable team. It has been an absolute privilege to work with such professional colleagues. I was very worried about the impact of COVID-19 on my sale, but Helen Wong really helped to guide the way, explaining the process and protecting my position especially in respect of any COVID warranties. More importantly, she helped to keep the deal on track and I am so thankful to her for helping me sell my dental practice. She has been available to assist all hours of the day, she is friendly, tenacious and I would highly recommend her as she knows dentistry law and the ever changing policies that continue to surround this sector.

Helen Wong MBE, Corporate Partner who led on the deal said: ”It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Dr. Desaur to complete this sale. The pandemic has brought much uncertainly for all parties and it was important to assist Dr. Desaur to ensure there was a smooth exchange during these very uncertain times.

Dr. Desaur was also advised by specialist dental broker advisors MediEstates.

Helen was assisted by Corporate Associate Tertius Alberts.

Helen, alongside Tim Jenkins, Jonathan Steele, Tertius Alberts and the Dental team have advised on over 40 transactions during the pandemic and have seen an influx of associates and first time buyers buying a dental practice.
