min read

eprivateclient has featured the appointment of Jamie Kennaugh as our new Head of Group for the Family team. Jamie succeeds William Longrigg in the role, who has been involved in the management and leadership of our Family team for the past three decades.

Jamie joined the Firm as a Trainee in 2007, and she was promoted to Partner in 2018. She advises on all areas of family law, finance and children and has clients based in the UK and globally, including Europe, the Middle East, the US and the Asia-Pacific region. She has a strong interest in dealing with businesses and complex trust assets on divorce and she is also a particular specialist in private law children work handling some of the most sensitive and challenging matters.

Alongside Jamie’s appointment, Miranda Fisher will take up a new role as Head of International Family Law. Miranda joined the Firm as a Partner in 2004 and has a wealth of experience in international family law cases spanning financial issues, the relocation of/arrangements for children and jurisdiction disputes, particularly concerning Eastern and Western Europe, the United States and the Middle East.  In this role, she will be responsible for developing and implementing the Family team’s international strategy and supporting the Family law practices in Charles Russell Speechly’s international offices in Geneva, Zurich, Milan and Hong Kong.

William Longrigg, who joined Charles Russell as a trainee in 1985 and made Partner in 1992, now moves into a Senior Counsel role. He will continue to have an active client‑facing practice, while also supporting management initiatives, helping to raise the team’s external profile and contributing to the development of new client relationships.

Jamie Kennaugh, Partner and Head of Group in our Family team, comments in eprivateclient:

I am delighted to take on the role of Head of the Family Group. Having begun my career at the Firm as a trainee, it feels like a very rewarding milestone. We have a fantastic team with deep experience in complex, high-value and multi-jurisdictional matters, and I am excited to continue developing our offering for clients both in the UK and internationally as we look to the next phase of our growth.
