Stéphane de Lassus quoted in Le Monde on tax audits and the role of holding companies in France

min read

Paris-based Private Client Partner Stéphane de Lassus was quoted in Le Monde in an article examining the increase in French tax audits targeting wealthy individuals.

The article analyses recent enforcement activity by the French tax authorities, including the introduction of a new, limited tax on holding companies adopted as part of the latest Finance Bill.

Commenting on the issue, Stéphane underlined the importance of holding companies to the French economy, cautioning against an overly restrictive approach. As he told Le Monde that holding companies are key tools to invest in France. He added:

Without holding companies, three quarters of capitalism in France wouldn't exist.
