Law360 features Sarah Wigington in its 'Practice Leader Insights' series on her corporate practice

min read

In a new edition of the Law360 Practice Leader Insights series, Sarah Wigington, Partner and Head of our UK Corporate team, shares a range of reflections on current legal trends and her career more broadly.

Sarah discusses the challenges of conducting an urban regeneration joint venture with numerous moving parts that had to land at precisely the same moment. She also considers how the simplification of corporate reporting and disclosure obligations would help midmarket businesses, and why ESG diligence factors are now a threshold issue.

Sarah Wigington, Partner and Head of our UK Corporate team, is featured in Law360:

My Advice to Junior Lawyers: Ask as many questions as you possibly can. No one expects you to know everything, but they do expect you to be curious. The lawyers who progress fastest are those who seek to understand not just the legal mechanics, but the commercial context: why the client wants this structure, what keeps them awake at night, how this deal fits into their broader strategy. That curiosity develops over time into genuine expertise.

Your team will become a kind of family — that's the case at Charles Russell Speechlys at least! Trust them. Lean on them when you are struggling, and be there when they need you. The best transactions are collaborative endeavors, and the relationships you build in your early years will sustain you throughout your career.
