IFLR interviews Simon Green on growth opportunities in Asia

In an interview with IFLR, Simon Green, Head of Asia, explores the growth opportunities for the Firm in the region, particularly in M&A, PE and venture capital transactional work.

As Head of Asia, Simon oversees the Firm's strategic growth of its Hong Kong and Singapore offices, which present huge opportunities in what are leading financial and wealth hubs.

Simon says:

The Asia-Pacific region is predicted to see a huge increase in volumes of high-net worth individuals in 2026...it's an exciting part of the world that also happens to be one of the fastest-growing regions for private capital.

"Our Asia strategy is an extension of our global strategy....regardless of the jurisdiction, whether its the UK, continental Europe, Asia-Pacific or the Middle East, private capital sits at the centre of our strategic objectives.

As an international law firm with a focus on private capital, the Firm is doubling down on its growth in Asia. In the past 12 months, we have hired six partners in Asia and recently established a corporate commercial practice.

The firm's unique positioning in the private client space insulates it from the typical market fluctuations affecting transactional practices...our focus on private wealth and capital allows for more stability in our business operations.

As well as the Firm's advantageous transactional and advisory offering, Simon adds that the link between Asia and the Middle East is another area of opportunity.
