Bloomberg quotes Dominic Lawrance on pledges to scrap preferential tax treatment for non-doms

The ruling Conservatives and the opposition Labour party have both pledged to scrap preferential tax treatment for non-domiciled residents.

Commenting on the proposed pledges, Dominic Lawrance, Partner, says:

It will be a serious, and entirely avoidable, misstep if these changes proceed as announced.

Dominic adds:

The “non-doms” are a tiny sector of the population, but they are economically significant. They bring investment into the UK and there are a huge number of businesses which are reliant on these people, or which will be seriously harmed if we lose them.
