As part of London International Disputes Week (LIDW), Charles Russell Speechlys and Radcliffe Chambers invite you to an interactive seminar: “Steering the ship: Navigating the seas of trust applications without capsizing into hostile litigation”. This session explores the enduring importance of trust applications and the risk that, if not carefully managed, they can escalate into hostile, expensive and relationship damaging litigation.
Using a case-study of the fictitious Beecham family, their family trust and business, and a little of their personal lives, this session will be delivered through a series of interactive scenes depicting client meetings between the professional trustee, the matriarch settlor and a beneficiary in crisis and their respective lawyers. In this way, the panel will bring to life the realities of semi-contentious trust disputes, exploring common pressure points, decision making challenges and tactical considerations. The chair will be at the helm providing expert commentary between each “client meeting” and opening the floor to insights and anecdotes from the audience.
Please register your attendance here, which will take you to the London International Disputes Week official website. If you have any questions or difficulties signing up, please contact our Events Team.
