The International Bar Association (IBA) Annual Conference returns to Copenhagen from 4–9 October 2026, bringing together thousands of lawyers from across the global legal market.
Our delegation this year includes partners from our UK, European, Middle East and Asia offices, reflecting the breadth of our international practice and the strength of our relationships across key jurisdictions.
Over the course of the week, we will be meeting clients, reconnecting with international firms and contacts, and contributing to the conference programme.
At this year’s conference:
- Charlotte Ford will speak on the panel “Adaptability: business development in a changing global legal landscape” on 5 October, exploring how firms are responding to shifting client expectations and international growth opportunities. She is also on the Steering Group for the High Tide conference for BD&M professionals as part of the LFMC retreat.
- Sangna Chauhan will speak on the panel “Trust me if you can: entity classification issues in common wealth planning strategies” on 6 October, examining common wealth planning strategies and exploring the entity classification issues and potential consequences that may arise when jurisdictions take differing approaches and reach contrasting conclusions.
- Nicola Jackson will speak on the panel “Gulf state insolvency issues” on 8 October, discussing recent developments and practical considerations in the region.
- Our partners will also contribute to a number of IBA committees, including the Private Client Taxes Committee, Law Firm Management Committee, Asset Recovery Committee and Insolvency Section.
Alongside our speaking roles, the conference provides an important opportunity to strengthen our international network and continue building relationships across jurisdictions and practice areas.
If you are attending and would like to arrange a meeting, please contact Charlotte Ford.
