Charles Russell Speechlys, 5 Fleet Place, London, EC4M 7RD

As part of London International Disputes Week (LIDW), Charles Russell Speechlys, IPOS Mediation and Oxera Consulting invite you to a panel session focusing on the rise of China related commercial and investment disputes in an increasingly complex global landscape.

As China’s economic influence continues to shape global trade and investment, disputes involving Chinese parties are becoming more prevalent, more complex and with greater sums at stake. Yet resolving these disputes requires more than legal expertise - it demands cultural fluency, strategic prowess, and a genuine understanding of how best to engage commercially with Chinese counterparties while navigating a wide array of challenges from shifting supply chains to geopolitical tensions.

Drawing on real life experiences, the panel will explore some common features of China‑related disputes, examine the growing use of mediation, arbitration and other ADR mechanisms, and share practical insights and comparative perspectives on how best to manage China-related risks and conflicts in the increasingly complex and fragmented world today. The panel will also consider how parties and their advisers can take advantage of processes such as mediation and arbitration to achieve effective, enforceable and relationship‑preserving outcomes.

Please register your attendance here, which will take you to the London International Disputes Week official website. If you have any questions or experience any difficulties signing up, please contact our Events Team.
