Revoking the irrevocable? Step into our courtroom for an interactive mock trial

Event Details

When When

We warmly invite you to participate in an interactive mock trial centred around trust variations, tax planning and intrigue.

Step into the world of Private Wealth Disputes as you join us for a live court room drama, based on the facts of the recent decision in IQ EQ (Jersey) Limited re the B Trust [2024] JRC 210, with a few added plot twists.

Join us to hear our associates-turned-advocates for the day present the competing interests of fiduciaries, beneficiaries and HMRC before our esteemed and ruthless judges, as we explore together the boundaries of trust variation.

What to expect?

  • Four advocates, two sides, one decision: Witness events unfold as our advocates present their submissions to our judges.
  • You be the judge: We will actively encourage you to try and sway the judges on what you consider to be the fairest outcome by sharing your own insights about the issues raised in the trial and its eventual outcome.
  • Sip and socialise: Unwind after an evening of high drama and enjoy drinks and nibbles afterwards while mingling with colleagues and peers.

Places are limited so we kindly ask that you RSVP promptly to secure your place at this exciting event.
