Black History Month 2025

Event Details

When When

Join us on Wednesday 1 October to hear from former world number one and the first Black women to swim for Great Britain, Rebecca Achieng Ajulu-Bushell, as we celebrate Black History Month.

At Charles Russell Speechlys, we are committed to developing an increasingly diverse, inclusive and supportive culture where everyone can be themselves, feel valued, and that they can thrive and belong. As part of this ambition, we seek to deepen our understanding of different lived experiences and cultures, amplifying the stories of others and facilitating meaningful discussions, both within our Firm and the profession more widely.

This Black History Month, we are delighted to invite you to join us as we hear from
Rebecca Achieng Ajulu-Bushell, the first Black woman to swim for GB, former world number one and current CEO of the 10,000 Interns Foundation. Chaired by Partner
Fiona Edmond, Rebecca will explore her story of growing up in Kenya, becoming anelite athlete, making the Forbes 30 Under 30 Social Impact category, and growing the work of the 10,000 Interns Foundation as CEO.

Lunch and refreshments will be available both before and after the panel event, for a chance to network.

We kindly ask for your prompt RSVP to secure your place at this event.
