Panglossian or Painful: Tax after the US and UK elections

Our panel will discuss the political landscape leading up to the elections in the US and the UK, and how they have shaped the introduction of new fiscal rules.

Much has already been trailed about how painful the UK Autumn Budget may be whereas across the ‘pond’ both candidates are brimming with optimism for the economy if they are elected as the 47th President of the United States.

We will consider the new fiscal rules arising from these significant events and their implications and opportunities, particularly for private clients and the structuring of their global wealth.
