Building on our strong presence and reputation in the Middle East, we recently opened a new office in Dubai, our third office in the Gulf and one of the fastest growing economic hubs in the world.
The opening of a Dubai office with an emphasis on dispute resolution accords with the strategy of international expansion by the Litigation and Dispute Resolution division of the firm, to have a presence in the leading dispute resolution centres of the world.
The firm already has dispute resolution teams in its London, Paris and Geneva offices. Our litigation and dispute resolution practice is one of the most respected in the GCC and through the addition of two new Partners and four senior associates and associates; we have further enhanced the firm's capabilities in the region, creating a Middle East wide team that can handle both regional and international cross border litigation and arbitration under one roof.
We are also expanding our market leading regional real estate and construction practice in this important jurisdiction with an emphasis on development and infrastructure. The team will be able to leverage from and capitalise on our strong regional profile in both contentious and non-contentious real estate and construction matters.
In addition, our Dubai office will also act as an important hub for foreign direct investment from the UAE as well as the Middle East more generally into both commercial and residential property in the UK, Europe and other parts of the world. We have the ability to either undertake or project manage such transactions within the regional team.
With our significant profile in the private wealth and family business segments, we are able to provide innovative solutions to international wealth structuring and succession planning; assisting with the preparation of family charters and governance, trusts and corporate structures and transactions as well as re-structurings and re-organisations.
From a sector perspective, we have a strong presence in the financial services, real estate, telecommunications, maritime & international trade and aviation sectors.
Our expertise in advising on complex international funds and private equity transactions, including investments into Africa will be important as we continue to see growing UAE and GCC investment into the continent.
