Charles Russell Speechlys hosts Next-Gen Women in Leadership Event
min readOn 3 December 2025, we hosted the Next-Gen Women in Leadership event at the Anthologist in London. We were delighted to welcome guests from a variety of backgrounds and sectors, including accounting, private equity, banking, healthcare, sustainability, technology, real estate, fashion and fine art. Designed as a dedicated forum for open dialogue and networking in a relaxed environment, the event created an energising space for women at similar inflection points in their careers to exchange perspectives on leadership, career progression, and impact at scale.
This event was a key milestone in our commitment to supporting women on their path to leadership. It was designed to be a safe space for building professional relationships and, prior to the event, we shared some key tips for networking to the firm’s internal Women in Leadership members, which included the following:
- Prepare with purpose: Review the attendee list, identify targets, and arrange introductions in advance. Be ready to talk confidently about your firm, your role, and your USP beyond your job title.
- Prime conversation topics and be authentic: Bring a few sector/practice insights and questions to spark dialogue. Let genuine interest guide conversations.
- Be inclusive: Look after your guests and invite anyone standing alone into the conversation. Avoid closed postures; leave space for others to join groups.
- Capture details and follow-up: Record who you met and key points; follow-up personally by sending tailored messages and sharing relevant content or connections.
We want to thank all supporters of the Women in Leadership initiative as it continues to grow. If you have any questions about this event or how to get involved in future please contact Sarah Wigington and Grace Hudson.
