What is next for Next?
As retailers across the world have been forced to shut their doors due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, innovation is now the key to survival.
Next have announced today that they have spent several weeks reworking their warehouse operations to ensure their staff are working in a safe environment, in an attempt to ease slowly back into online orders and deliveries. The company has outlined the safety measures it has taken in a video posted on their website in order to demonstrate their commitment to keeping both staff and customers safe.
This move could be mirrored by other retailers trying to weather the current global crisis. It will be interesting to see how this adjustment works for Next, who have already said that the focus will begin with the sale of the most needed items, such as children's wear and small home items.
