Up in the AI: GenAI and legal education

Welcome to Up in the AI, our podcast hosted by Joe Cohen, Director of Advanced Client Solutions. In this series, Joe speaks with thought leaders from across the legal and technology industries, as well as the education and regulatory sectors about how artificial intelligence has already and will continue to impact lawyers’ ways of working and the delivery of legal services to our clients.

In this episode of Up in the AI, Joe talks with Dan Hunter, Executive Dean at the Dickson Poon School of Law.  With a distinguished career spanning more than 30 years, Dan is a pre-eminent authority on the intersection of computers and law, and the co-founder of RegTech start-up Graceview. Dan shares with Joe his pioneering role in incorporating AI into legal education during the early '90s at Melbourne University and Chicago-Kent College of Law. He also discusses the ongoing challenge of integrating generative AI into legal education and practice, ensuring suitable non-technical skills are developed to complement the ever-evolving technological capabilities available to legal teams.

For further information about Dan Hunter’s areas of expertise, visit his profile on the KCL website.

The Up in the AI podcast is a collaboration between Charles Russell Speechlys and Legal Tech Talk
