Up in the AI episode Four: Gen AI and law firms

Welcome to Up in the AI, our podcast hosted by Joe Cohen, Director of Advanced Client Solutions. In this series, Joe speaks with thought leaders from across the legal and technology industries, as well as the education and regulatory sectors about how Artificial Intelligence has already and will continue to impact lawyers’ ways of working and the delivery of legal services to our clients.

In this episode, Joe is joined by a peer group of legal innovators at other law firms:

  • Tara Walters (Former Partner & Chief Digital Officer, Ashurst) - Tara has more than 15 years’ experience working as a lawyer, technologist and innovator. She now works as a consultant helping organisations and senior leaders to navigate digital transformation and deliver measurable impact.
  • Drew Winlaw (Partner & LLM Lead, Simmons & Simmons) - Drew has more than 20 years’ experience working as a lawyer, legal operations expert, and innovator. At Simmons & Simmons, Drew leads optimisation of legal service delivery through technology and process innovation, and is formerly of Wavelength Law.
  • Gerard Frith (Entrepreneur in Residence, Taylor Wessing) - Gerard has more than 20 years’ experience working as an entrepreneur, technologist, and innovator. He advises organisations on how to leverage AI and emerging technologies to drive transformation and create measurable business impact.
