Up in the AI: Gen AI and Access to Justice

Welcome to Up in the AI, our podcast hosted by Joe Cohen, Director of Advanced Client Solutions. In this series, Joe speaks with thought leaders from across the legal and technology industries, as well as the education and regulatory sectors about how Artificial Intelligence has already and will continue to impact lawyers’ ways of working and the delivery of legal services to our clients.

In this episode, Joe is joined by Christina Blacklaws, former President of the Law Society of England & Wales and CEO of Blacklaws Consulting. Up for discussion was Christina’s journey creating her own law firm, transitioning into a COO/Innovation role in house, creating the first Alternative Business Structure, and her time at the Law Society in different roles.

The main running topic in this episode is Access to Justice, and how Generative AI can help those with unmet legal need. Look out for suggestions as to how the industry can work more collaboratively to achieve these aims.

For more information on Christina and her work, see the profile on her website.

The Up in the AI podcast is a collaboration between Charles Russell Speechlys and Legal Tech Talk
