Competition Appeal Tribunal upholds Roland RPM fine and revokes settlement discount

The Competition Appeal Tribunal has dismissed Roland’s appeal against the fine imposed by the CMA as part of its investigation into resale price maintenance of electronic drumkits.  The Tribunal also revoked the settlement discount granted to Roland.  Click here.

CMA issues provisional findings on FNZ/GBST merger following remittal

The CMA has provisionally found that the merger between FNZ and GBST would raise competition concerns.  This follows remittal of the case to the CMA after the parties appealed the CMA’s original decision.  Click here.

  • The CMA is inviting comments on national security considerations in relation to the anticipated acquisition by NVIDIA Corporation of Arm Limited, following the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport issuing a public interest intervention notice (PIIN) on the ground of national security.   • The CMA is proposing to refer Bellis’ purchase of Asda for a detailed phase 2 investigation, unless the parties offer suitable undertakings in lieu of a reference. Click here.
