    Collaboration across service lines

In 2024, we embarked on the eighth acquisition deal of longstanding client Advania, a managed and professional services provider and one of Microsoft’s leading partners in the UK.

Each acquisition we have advised the company on over the past ten years has spanned multiple service lines of our Firm and has sat squarely within our technology sector expertise.

Advania’s latest transaction to acquire UK-based IT solutions provider Servium has enabled the company to widen its range of services, software and hardware procurement for customers, as well as strengthen relationships with leading manufacturers and distributors.

Advania is one of the leading end-to-end IT services provider for the mid-market in Northern Europe, with operations in the UK, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Finland, and Denmark.

The company aims to assist businesses in optimising their operations through digital transformation and improved IT capabilities, and the business has significantly grown and evolved over the last decade, successfully expanding its portfolio and market reach through the acquisition of other IT companies.

The combination of Advania and Servium will afford the UK mid-market the same level of sophisticated procurement options as those available to the largest enterprises.

Our team was led by Corporate Partner Mark Howard, with support from Commercial Senior Associate Charlie Mallows. The wider team included Mark Bailey and Caroline Young (Commercial), Mike Powner (Employment), Rhys Novak (Dispute Resolution), Sarah Keens (Real Estate), and Robert Birchall (Corporate Tax).

“Charles Russell Speechlys knowledge of the IT services sector and M&A deal craft is excellent, and always helps to get to the bottom of and resolve the key points. We are delighted to welcome the Servium Team to Advania and look forward to increasing our breadth and value of work.”

Henrik Foyn-Laukvik
Group Chief M&A Officer, Advania Group

“We are delighted to have worked with Andy, Henrik and the Advania team again as Advania UK continues its growth journey, our eighth transaction for them. We wish Advania all the best as it continues to grow and expand its business with the addition of Servium.”
