    Meet our people

Owen Chan, Senior Associate

I advise individuals and businesses on a wide range of UK immigration issues and their UK relocation strategy, particularly those from Asia as I speak fluent Cantonese and Mandarin. Most of the time this means I will need to liaise with colleagues from other parts of the Firm (e.g. tax, property and corporate) so that I can provide a comprehensive solution to my clients. I usually jump between eight to ten matters every day which makes my job interesting! After work you may find me in a basketball court or dinner out with friends, and if time permits I will be on one of the Uber Boats by Thames Clippers enjoying the view as I make my way home.

 

Morning Afternoon Evening
  • Cup of coffee at my desk!
  • Checking emails, Lexology and other alerts / updates from the government on UK immigration law
  • Catching up with other members of the team (both work and social). We also have our team meeting on every other Wednesday
  • Prioritising tasks for the day
  • Another cup of coffee!
  • Calls, meetings and emails with clients
  • If I'm at home, usually a jog if weather permits
  • Updating my “active case list” to ensure all required action has been taken and work out tomorrow’s priorities
  • Attending networking events to meet others connected to my field of work
  • Grocery shopping unless I can’t resist the temptation for a takeaway
  • Catching up on my favourite TV shows / sports

Culture

We build meaningful relationships not only externally with our clients but also internally with all of our colleagues. We genuinely care about each other and what we do. This gives us the strength to work as a team and go the extra mile to deliver the best service to our clients.
