Learning and Development Specialist / Coach

Learning and Development Specialist / Coach

The Team:

There are c26 employees in the Human Resources team focused in four key areas:  Business Partnering, Resourcing, Reward and Learning & Development.

The Role:

The role of the Learning & Development Specialist/Coach is to support the Learning & Development Manager with shaping and implementing the overall L&D strategy.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities (this is a broad but not exhaustive list):

  • Identifying learning & Development needs
  • Designing and implementing programme assessments and evaluation
  • Facilitating psychometrics in areas such as emotional intelligence
  • Designing courseware materials to business school standards
  • Delivery of business, management and leadership skills training programmes across the Firm, working closely with the Learning and Development Manager to ensure that this is aligned to the career development framework
  • Delivering one to one coaching for Senior Associates, Partners, Legal Directors and other Senior Management roles

Person Specification:

  • Ability to inspire and engage others at all levels in business, management & leadership development
  • Able to work independently and be self-directed when required
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an ambitious team
  • Able to manage multiple projects effectively to deadlines
  • Credible at a senior level with the relevant business and commercial acumen
  • Experienced in providing solutions within a large multi stakeholder business, within Professional Services is advantageous but not essential
  • Proven organisational ability within a commercial and pressurised environment
