Business Development and Marketing Operations Manager 12 Months FTC London
Role and Responsibilities (this is a broad but not exhaustive list)
• Oversee quality of data the Firm maintains on clients, contacts, and intermediaries
• Oversee maintenance of performance data for pitches, events, mailings, and social media
postings
• Supervise Business Development Coordinator(s) in maintaining accurate and timely BD and
Marketing data, through regular review and follow up with partners and lawyers to ensure
completion of records on clients, contacts, and Business Development activities
• Oversee production of reports for various committees. Offices, Divisions and initiatives. Propose
and implement enhancements
• Work closely with Business Development teams to implement common approaches and
standards for internal data, reporting, client communications and pitch production
• Act as champion for data quality through communications with BD and Marketing teams,
partners, associates, and Business Services functions
• Oversee quality of credentials information by putting in place and monitoring clear processes and
actions for fee earners, assistants, and Business Development team members
• Oversee quality of standard slides and common pitch content by implementing clear processes
and standards
• Keep key Firmwide collaterals up-to-date, implement periodic quality checks, and communicate
firmwide changes to be implemented in Divisional and office materials, working together with
the Brand Manager
• Communicate changes required to collaterals due to eg opening of new office, other firmwide
developments
• Oversee and support team members’ production of materials to support internal client
relationship meetings and client planning
• Work with Finance team to improve data, analysis, and reporting on inbound and outbound
referrals as well as clients
• Support fee earners in accessing and utilising client-facing materials they can tailor for individual
clients
• Work closely with heads of Internal Client Services (e.g., document production and Executive
Assistant teams) on the production of quality client-facing documents, and ensure all BD Coordinators
carry out their work with these teams in a collaborative manner, to common
standards
• Set up processes and quality controls to enable Business Development team members and Client
services staff to pull together quality first draft pitches, under guidance from BD team members
• Check quality and consistency of Firmwide data held for pitch purposes
• Oversee maintenance of databases of directory and award successes and content
• Provide data to Integrated Business Planning function
• Assist with the agreement and measurement of KPIs for BD and Marketing data and activities
• Set up processes for regular updates of collaterals
• Contribute to data projects within the BD&M team and across Business Services.
Qualifications and Experience
• Experience of enhancing quality of data and standard materials to allow more consistent delivery
to clients (internal and external)
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of CRM systems (preferably InterAction)
• Knowledge of pitch and credentials systems
• Understanding of a partnership environment
