Associate – Corporate (3-7 PQE)
We are seeking a talented and commercially minded Associate with 3–7 years' post-qualification experience to join our Corporate & Commercial practice. The successful candidate will advise a broad range of local, regional and international clients on corporate transactions, commercial arrangements, data protection and privacy matters, intellectual property issues, and employment-related matters.
This role offers exposure to cross-border work, direct client contact, and the opportunity to work closely with partners on complex and high-profile matters across multiple sectors.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Advise clients on a broad range of corporate, commercial and regulatory matters, including transactions, commercial agreements, data protection and privacy, intellectual property, and employment issues.
- Manage matters independently from inception to completion, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of legal legal documentation and transaction-related materials.
- Manage matters efficiently and deliver commercially focused legal solutions.
- Engage in client marketing and business development activities including attending internal and external events and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
- Draft more complex documents with minimum instruction and supervision.
- Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups and jurisdictions on complex and cross-border matters.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsiveness and high quality work; provide client advice in a neat, practical and persuasive manner.
- Apply a commercial approach to research and evaluate relevance and accuracy in delivery of advice.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills with junior colleagues including delegation, mentoring and coaching skills.
Person Specification
- Qualified solicitor in Hong Kong
- 3–7 years' post-qualification experience gained at a reputable law firm, with solid training and a strong
grounding in corporate and commercial law. - Experience across a combination of corporate, commercial, data protection, intellectual property and employment matters.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong drafting, analytical and technical legal skills.
- Excellent commercial awareness and business judgement and a client-centric mindset.
- Ability to manage matters independently and take ownership of matters, while collaborating effectively within a team.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- A hardworking, driven and proactive individual who is eager to learn and motivated to grow with the Firm.
- Experience dealing directly with clients and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal English skills; Chinese language capability (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
