It’s an exciting time to join Charles Russell Speechlys.
Due to expansion, we have a number of vacancies for agricultural, rural and residential Property Associates (NQ to PQE6+) specialising in non-contentious property matters. The team deals with country houses and landed estates, looking after the diverse needs of land owning clients, be they private individuals; trusts; charities; or corporate bodies. By the very nature of a landed estate or farm - being both a private home and a business asset - the range of work that the team deals with is broad, covering both day-to-day management advice as well as transactional work.
The Private Property group forms part of a wider Landed Estates practice that includes leading partners in the prime central London, outer London and Home Counties residential property, agricultural and country house markets. It is recognised in the Chambers guide (Bands 1 and 2), Chambers High Net Worth Awards, Spear’s 500 and The Legal 500 (Band 1). The Private Property practice forms an integral part of our Band 1 Private Client and broader Private Wealth practice. This is an extremely powerful domestic and international private client business which acts as a continuing source of new instructions into the Private Property group.
As a firm we have exacting standards that require expertise, rigor, accountability and a personal service to a wide range of clients. We are also a friendly and inclusive team, offering lots of training and opportunities for you to progress your career.
The Landed Estates practice in Cheltenham, which also incorporates our Private Property team, has extensive market leading expertise in advising individuals, trustees, families and charities in relation to their private affairs.
We are experienced in handling a full range of work for our private clients whilst adding our particular expertise in many specialist areas:-
- Charitable Trusts & Philanthropy
- Estate Planning & Succession
- Rural Business & Landed Estates
- Private Property
- Probate & Estate Administration
- Trust Establishment, Management & Taxation
- Trust & Probate Disputes
We offer not simply technical expertise within the areas listed, but take a rounded approach to the legal needs of our clients, using our fully integrated firm-wide services to ensure that the needs of our clients are proactively best served.
The ideal candidate will be a good quality generalist residential property lawyer with or without some experience of rural properties, looking to develop their career in a friendly, collegiate team. With the ability to develop effective working relations at all levels – as our clients are diverse and include nobility and celebrities – organisation and the capability to run a significant number of files and work matters simultaneously is key.
With over 100 staff within Cheltenham, we work closely with our colleagues across our UK locations, as well as our international offices.
CRS offer an excellent benefits package, parking on site and fabulous location in the heart of Cheltenham. We can offer relocation assistance and consider other locations with regular travel to the office.
