Tabitha specialises in private client work and advises on a broad range of matters for individuals including lifetime tax, estate and succession planning, Will drafting and Powers of Attorney. She advises individuals and trustees on the formation of trusts and their on-going administration, management and taxation. Tabitha also deals with the creation of charities and registering them with the Charity Commission, as well as providing on-going guidance and advice to charitable trustees. She has a broad experience in the administration of estates, some of which have involved foreign assets. Her clients include both UK and international individuals.

Tabitha is admitted to practise in England and Wales.

Experience

  • Advising on how best to structure Wills to protect assets and to make efficient use of inheritance tax reliefs, including business property and agricultural property relief
  • Drafting Wills to incorporate asset protective structures and inheritance tax efficient structures
  • Advising trustees on re-structuring existing family trusts to reflect a change in family circumstances or to update them in line with updated legislation; drafting the necessary deeds to give effect to the re-structure
  • Advising on the creation of lifetime settlements for asset protection purposes, drafting the necessary trust deeds and arranging for assets to be placed into trust
