Reem has over 10 years of real estate experience both on-the-ground in the Middle East and internationally. Having previously worked as in-house counsel to a prominent real estate developer in Bahrain, she brings significant commercial and practical experience from the client side to private practice.
Reem specialises in large to medium scale community developments and complex strata projects which comprise multiple and/or mixed-use components. She also has significant experience advising on retail and commercial leases including malls, offices and speciality leasing concepts.
She also specialises in hotel and hospitality matters particularly in relation to investment, development and management of hotels, branded residences and lifestyle projects.
Reem is admitted to practise in England and Wales.
Experience
- Advising Eagle Hills Diyar Company W.L.L on all key aspects of its 850,000sqm master community known as “Marassi Al Bahrain” including advising on the strata titling and community structuring strategy and all required documentation for the project, preparing leases for a 200,000 sqm retail mall, ‘high street leases’ and food container leases as well as preparing standard form off-plan RERA compliant sale and purchase agreements.
- Acting for institutional and private owners on a number of iconic hotel and hospitality developments in the Middle East, UK, Africa and the Caribbean and advising on traditional management agreements, franchise agreements, third-party operator agreements as leases (as well as combined structures).
- Preparing long term development leases, development protocols as well as a leasehold management and community structure for a 1.3 million sqm waterfront community development known as Bilaj Al Jazayer developed by Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company B. (Edamah) along the southern coast of Bahrain.
