Helen is a tax partner and Chartered Tax Adviser who advises clients on a wide range of UK tax issues. She is particularly experienced in advising clients in respect of real estate tax matters and corporate structuring.

About

Helen is a partner in the Corporate Tax group and a Chartered Tax Adviser.  She advises clients in respect of a wide range of taxation matters, with particular experience of real estate taxation (both direct and indirect tax matters), the taxation of investment fund managers, tax structuring for owner managed businesses and joint ventures. 

She is a member of the Stamp Taxes Practitioners’ Group and the Chartered Institute of Taxation Property Taxes Sub-Committee.  She also regularly responds to government consultations on tax issues that impact clients and writes for leading tax publications.

Helen is admitted to practise in England and Wales.

Experience

  • Advises Bellway Homes and Countryside Properties on the tax aspects of a variety of corporate and real estate transactions, including the establishment and operation of joint ventures (particularly with affordable housing providers).

  • Regularly advises privately owned UK property development groups on their corporate structures.

  • Advises a number of investment managers on the taxation of their remuneration.

  • Advises on the tax aspects of the establishment of family office structures.

  • Acts for a number of non-UK resident clients on the structure of their inbound investment in or development of UK real estate.
