Frederick’s practice focuses on corporate finance and commercial affairs. He has participated in many initial public offerings, spin-off listings by blue chip issuers, loan financing, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, acquisitions and reverse takeovers of listed companies, reverse takeovers of listed companies on the American Stock Exchange and over-the-counter electronic trading boards, private equity investment, venture capital, corporate restructuring, foreign investment in China and multinational investment by Chinese companies and other projects and transactions. He has a special focus and substantial experience in handling corporate financing, joint ventures, complex cross-border mergers and acquisitions, real estate, intellectual property and foreign investment restrictions in various industries, and regulatory compliance. He has extensive experience relating to private wealth management matters, and in dispute resolution through litigation and arbitration. Frederick serves a variety of clients, including high-net-worth individuals and families, private companies, private equity funds, financial institutions, state-owned enterprises, listed companies and multi-national corporations.
Frederick is admitted as lawyers in the PRC and is a Registered Foreign Lawyer in Hong Kong. He is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, as well as conversational in Japanese.

- Assisted high-net-worth individual in resolving the shareholder disputes in family businesses; Assisted high-net-worth individual in resolving the Pre-IPO investment dispute administered by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre; Advised high-net-worth individuals and families on trust, tax planning, succession and estate planning related matters.
- Assisted a well-known Hong Kong company, which is owned by a Japanese bank, in granting loan facilities to a Hong Kong conglomerate for the purpose of real estate development in Dalian; Assisted a well-known Chinese-funded Hong Kong assets management company in granting loan facilities to a Hong Kong conglomerate to acquire a PRC coal mining company; Assisted China Development Bank in granting term loan facilities to two Hong Kong companies.
