Ruth is a real estate transactional specialist with considerable experience in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant matters, other occupational property transactions, developments, and property transactions with a specific ecclesiastical law bias.
She also has experience in leasehold enfranchisement transactions and other residential matters. Many of Ruth's clients are charities and not-for-profit organisations.
She is a speaker on charity property related issues.
Ruth is admitted to practise in England and Wales.
- Advising on and then selling a prestigious residential estate for a charity involving many interested parties, and taking into account the effect of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985
- Successfully completed a complicated joint venture residential development for a Diocese, on the back of which the developer built a house for the Diocese and is currently paying overage on the sale of the houses
- Acting for a religious establishment in relation to the refurbishment and letting of two adjoining buildings to the same tenant, including dealing with the proposal for a link building between the two and listed building issues
- Acting for a company developing and providing a Home for Disability Care, including lease and leaseback, options and dealing with funders
