Paul specialises in commercial and regulatory advice to clients in the sports, TMT and retail and leisure sectors. His experience covers general commercial work for a mixture of private companies, public companies, funds and sports governing bodies.

In the sports sector, Paul has particular experience in sponsorship, merchandising and licensing along with football transfers and image rights structures. He has also completed the BASL/De Montfort Law School Diploma in Sports Law and Practice with distinction and has also returned to lecture on the course.

Additionally, Paul works with retail clients on franchising, distribution, supply and hotel management projects, and in the TMT sector, his experience includes outsourcing, software licensing, marketing and digital/social media.

Paul has also completed a six month secondment at Actis LLP, a leading emerging markets private equity house, a nine month part time secondment to Silicon Graphics Limited and has recently returned from a secondment in the Football Business Unit at Nike in the Netherlands where he advised on the merchandising programme for Nike’s key football assets.

Paul is admitted to practise in England and Wales.
