Elora advises clients on a range of competition issues, including merger control, anticompetitive agreements and abuse of dominance.

She specialises in the telecommunications sector and has worked with a number of the firm’s TMT clients. She has completed secondments at a Middle Eastern telecommunications company, and more recently at a Middle Eastern Telecommunications Regulatory Authority where she advised on a range of competition, regulatory and commercial matters.

Elora also advises on competition litigation, commercial and civil litigation matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Elora spent six months of her training contract on secondment to the UK Law Society’s Brussels office, where she focused on consumer and competition law issues. She has gained further international experience in Dubai, where she worked with Tatweer, Dubai Holding, specialising in commercial contracts.

Elora is admitted to practise in Scotland.


  • Representing Gamma Telecom Holdings Limited as intervener before the Competition Appeal Tribunal, the Court of Appeal and at the Supreme Court in a case concerning appeals against Ofcom determinations on laddered pricing schemes for termination charges for certain classes of calls
  • Advising a Middle Eastern Telecommunications Regulator in a successful arbitration against the incumbent operator in the region, in respect of access to an international cable landing station
  • Acting for the Government of the Bahamas on the liberalisation of the telecommunications sector, including the establishment of the new telecoms regulator, URCA
  • Assisting a telecommunications regulatory authority prior to the release of spectrum in a number of frequency bands, advising on the spectrum auction process and award
